My Own Classes

So for the past three weeks I’ve been learning about the school and different teaching methods.  Although I’ve been teaching my classes by myself I really didn’t feel like they were mine.  I mostly have been wrapping up first semester of a class another teacher was teaching.  Starting Thursday I will get almost all new students and new subjects to teach.  I’m excited because I’m no longer finishing up something someone else started.  I’m pretty jazzed to see how much my students learn based on what I’ve taught them and how I’ve interacted with them.  Right now, I really don’t know how far my students have come because I wasn’t there in the beginning.

Unfortunately most of my elementary classes will be different, however my kindergarten classes be mostly the same.  I”m not teaching pre-kindergarten anymore.  I’m not really upset about that because pre-kinder is a lot to take on when also planning 4th and 5th grade classes.  I’m going to be teaching a  Math class …I was told by previous teachers it’s not really math, its math terminology.  I’m looking forward to sharing my experience in that class.  Anyway this weekend I’ll be making fun boards with my students names on it so they can collect stickers for good behavior and homework.  These kids really love their stickers.

Anyway, Thursday come soon!
