Hospital + Teaching

So this morning I had to go to the hospital to have my physical. Another series of hoops I must jump before I can obtain my Alien Registration Card. So yesterday after work I had to fast. My air conditioner is not working properly so I arrive to work hot and sticky and famished. I will say the hospital is walking distance from school! The process of getting my chest x-ray, eye exam, meeting with the doctor, urine sample, blood pressure, hearing text and recovery from my dizzy spell took less than an hour. I was quite pleased with my service…America could learn a thing or two.

First day teaching was great, it was a short day for me. The children are lovely. I have been asked why my skin isn’t peachy by a few students…I tell them I’m made from chocolate. (Their eyes get wide.) I have also been asked how old I am by several students; I’m 152 years old clearly. I suppose I could tell my proper age, since they are following social cues.

Although I almost fainted and have been rubbed by students I would still say today was a success. 🙂
